
Croft Holiday Park – Your questions answered
What is the public transport provision?
Although there is
no public transport available directly from the Park, there is a regular
bus service to most main towns within Pembrokeshire from either
Templeton, which is just a mile and a half away, or Narberth, 5 miles
away.
Is a collection service available from local transport links?
Although
we are not able to provide a collection service available from local
public transport links, we would be more than happy to supply visitors
with a list of local taxi companies.
Can delivery provisions be arranged?
Delivery of groceries
can be arranged from one of the supermarket / delicatessens in Narberth.
In the town, there are also all other facilities which you would expect,
including a Post Office, banks, pubs, and a number of cafes and shops.
Does the Reception and Clubhouse have car parks with allocated bays?
The
main car park at Reception and the Clubhouse does not at present have
specifically allocated bays. Although there is ample parking directly
outside all publicly accessible buildings.
Do specific pitches have parking alongside?
Virtually all
pitches at the site have an area for parking alongside.
Are there undulating roads with no speed bumps but with hazard
markers?
Most of the roads at Croft Holiday Park are flat.
There are some speed bumps on certain roads, and virtually no hazards.
The speed limit for all vehicles on site is strictly 5mph.
How many steps are there to the main entrance?
There are no
steps or ramps to the Reception area or the Clubhouse – both are located
on the ground floor.
Is there a ramp to the main entrance?
There is a very
gently inclining ramp at the main entrance to the Clubhouse and
Reception.
Is assistance in settling in available?
If visitors require
assistance in settling in, they should contact Reception as soon as they
are able.
Are there automatic or revolving doors?
There are no
automatic or revolving doors in any of the publicly accessible buildings.
Is the ground level throughout?
Due to the rural nature of
Croft Holiday Park, we can not guarantee that the ground is level
throughout. The Park is sited, however, on 'flat' land, with only one
area which has road access which is sloping.
Does the family changing room have level access to the shower/s?
There
are two small steps into the showering area.
Is there an accessible unisex toilet within the Reception area/
Clubhouse?
There is a unisex toilet within the Reception
area/Clubhouse at Croft Holiday Park, and all same sex toilets are on
the ground floor, and are easily accessible.
Are there steps between levels on the ground floor?
There
are no steps between levels on the ground floor.
How many stories are there?
All publicly accessible areas
at Croft Holiday Park are arranged on the ground floor.
Does the park have both caravan holiday home and touring pitches?
Croft
Holiday Park currently has 90 static holiday homes of which 6 are for
hire, 47 plots with electric hook up, and 8 touring pitches without
electric hook up.
How many caravans have ramp access and a spacious interior?
None
of the hire fleet at Croft Holiday Park have ramp access, although all
of the holiday homes have spacious and uncluttered interiors.
Are floors and rooms clearly signed with raised numbers?
All
rooms are clearly marked, although at present, they do not have raised
numbers.
Is there good colour contrast to floor, walls and doorways?
The
Reception and Clubhouse areas at Croft Park have been recently
refurbished and bright and distinctive colours are used throughout the
buildings.
Are there bedrooms adapted for wheelchair users?
There is
no hire fleet adapted for wheelchair users at Croft at present.
Are assistance dogs welcome?
Visitors are more than welcome
to bring assistance dogs to Croft Holiday Park.
Is a'free run' area allocated for dogs?
At Croft Park there is
a great deal of open land on which you can walk your dogs. We do,
however, have a strict policy that all dogs should remain on the lead at
all times.
Is there a 24 hour service?
Although Reception is only open
from 10am until 5pm, the Bar is open on most nights. When no one is
actually staffing the site, there is an emergency phone number on which
visitors can get a hold of the owners.
Is waitress service available?
There is no restaurant
facility at Croft Park.
Are corridors in the reception and clubhouse well lit?
There
are no corridors in the Reception, Club or Arcade – the rooms themselves
are well lit.
Is there an accessible toilet in a public area?
There is an
accessible toilet within the main building close to the bar.
Are mobile phone networks available?
Most mobile phone
networks (including Vodafone and Orange) have network service at Croft
Holiday Park.
Is there internet access at Croft Holiday Park?
Wi-Fi is
available for an additional charge across the majority of the Park.
Can wheelchairs be hired?
Although wheelchairs cannot be
hired from the site itself, there is a facility in a nearby town which
hires out both manual and electric chairs.
Are staff trained in disability awareness?
Many of the
staff at Croft Park have been trained in disability awareness, and there
is an ongoing training programme.
Is accessible information available? Menus – large print brochures
– audio – Braille?
We have tried to
make all of our literature and web sites accessible to all, however,
upon request we can send out large print versions.
